From our founder

When the COVID pandemic hit, it coincided with two big milestones in my life: turning 50 and my kids becoming more independent. It was a moment that made me pause, reflect, and really think about the direction I wanted my life to take.

For a few years, I’d felt a quiet pull to try something new, but the thought of stepping away from my familiar world was daunting. After 20 years working as a psychotherapist, the idea of starting over felt both exciting and terrifying. Deep down, though, I knew it was time to take a leap of faith.

The next three years became a journey of exploration and growth. I studied, I volunteered, and I gave myself the space to figure out what truly lit me up. Along the way, I discovered a deep love for aromatherapy and the art of creating natural skincare products.

While volunteering with cancer charities, I had the privilege of talking with so many incredible people. Many expressed gratitude for the medical care they received, but they also shared how difficult it was to cope with the harsh side effects of treatment—especially how it impacted their sense of self, well-being, and quality of life.

Those conversations stayed with me. Over time, they shaped a clear vision: to create the highest quality natural skincare and wellness products, specifically designed to support and care for those going through cancer.

And so, Brave Crab was born.
